Dimensional Stone Work Guidelines
- All stone materials are sourced from natural resources and will exhibit variations in their composition. This variation can range from a difference in color, veining, and texture. As the quarry men continue to mine further into the mountain range, the stone’s appearance will continue to vary.
- For custom pieces fabricated from blocks, such as sinks and fireplaces, the inner contents of the stone become visible as the craftsmen hammers, chisels, shaves, and polishes into the body of the stone.
- *Please note there is no discernible way to anticipate what these nuances will be until product is done.
- Natural stone veining pattern and background color tone will vary from block to block. Fissures and pitting are naturally occurring features in these materials and are not considered defects. If a fissure or pit mark is discovered during the fabrication process, we may apply an epoxy filler solution with artisan discretion.
- Dimensional range may also vary as we give discretion to our craftsman to carve above or below certain “imperfections” that may affect the appearance of the final product. No refunds will be made in regard to reasonable dimension differences. All dimensions are nominal and are subject to change during production. Average tolerance for dimensional stonework is +/- 1/4”- 3/8”.
- Drawings are produced in accordance with our interpretations of your sketches. We will not be held responsible for any mistakes or oversights caused by the drawings in the fabrication. Please review all dimensions and details before confirming / signing work order.
- Dimensions cannot be altered or changed once the customer approved documentation.
- By proceeding with a fabrication piece, customer is accepting these conditions.
