Honed & Beveled

Honed & Tumbled

Beveled
A bevel also known as a micro bevel, is a subtle, carefully crafted angled edge applied to the perimeter of a tile. This slight chamfer removes any roughness or sharpness left from the tile-cutting process, providing a clean, finished appearance and making installation easier by reducing the risk of chipping. The micro bevel is very fine—usually just a fraction of an inch—and is common on both polished and honed tiles. It ensures a refined, uniform look when tiles are installed, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

Tumbled
A tumbled finish gives the tile a gently worn, aged appearance with softly rounded edges and a honed surface. The tumbling process naturally smooths and softens the edges, removing sharpness and creating an authentically rustic look. Due to variations in mineral composition, the exact texture and surface characteristics of tumbled tiles may vary slightly between different types of stones & size of tile.

Honed
A honed finish gives the face of the tile a smooth, matte surface without a reflective sheen.  Honed tile features a subtle beveled edge—also known as a micro bevel—along its perimeter. This micro bevel removes any jaggedness or roughness created during the cutting process, resulting in a clean, refined look. Due to natural variations in mineral composition, the exact texture and appearance of honed tiles may vary slightly between different types of stone.

Polished
A polished finish gives the face of the tile a smooth, shiny, and reflective surface. Polished tile features a subtle beveled edge, also known as a micro bevel, along its perimeter. This micro bevel eliminates any roughness or jagged edges resulting from the cutting process, creating a clean, refined appearance.Because natural stones vary in mineral composition, the level of polish and reflectiveness may differ slightly from one stone type to another.

Brushed
A brushed finish—sometimes referred to as a “leathered” finish—gives the tile’s surface a softly textured, satin‑matte appearance that accentuates the stone’s natural grain while muting reflection. Brush tiles can be ordered with a bevel ( micro) , tumbled or chiseled edge. Because every stone’s mineral makeup is unique, the exact depth of texture and level of sheen in a brushed finish can vary slightly from one material to another. Chiseled
A chiseled finish leaves the tile’s perimeter purposely jaggeded & irregular showcasing a weathered, artisanal texture with low sheen. The perimeter itself is chiseled, creating irregular, slightly broken edges that amplify the tile’s rustic character and give every piece a one‑of‑a‑kind profile. Because each stone’s mineral makeup is unique, the depth of chiseling and overall tonal variation may differ subtly from tile to tile, adding to the authentic, handcrafted look. This is a custom finish with a 200 sf minimum.
